Current mood: amused
Current music:the grating bathroom fan

Aha!
Maybe I'll remember how to get here next time. Am I "in the now" or what? And under tutelage. When I can find it. :-)

Seeking friends!

okay . . . the image i just got of you two in the same house (kind of like me and my roommates in one house used to im down the hall) is frightening. I don't think one house would be big enough, lol.

lol myself. it a roommate issue, but he warned me, and it needed to be on, but it does sound AWFUL.

the use of CAPS, however, gives me the sense that we might actually get along quite well. TAKE A CHILL PILL!

no, dear, I had an image of you and RADHIKA in the same house, because she said "shut off the fan." and that was funny.

yes, dear, I meant me and RADHIKA too. That was my intended use of the previously existing plural referent. :-)

yeah but there was the digression about your roommate and i got confused and then couldn't figure out what the plural referent was . . . :-)

as long as we're laughing, all is good. :-)

I did go look up "parsing". I think it's used slightly differently in communication theory, that, or I've just misunderstood it. The latter is quite plausible. :-0

[info]museumfreak mentioned to me today that you use blogspot with classes you teach in communications. I'm having my intro cultural anthropology class create an LJ community A) to use as an online discussion forum and B) as a jumping off point for viewing the web as yet another cultural domain subject to the anthropological gaze.

Any thoughts, tips, insights, off the cuff remarks about your blogspot experiences with students you might wanna share? This is the second quarter I've tried this with LJ -- or anything else, for that matter. First time in the fall was a bit sketchy, but promising of enough interest to give it another adjusted go.....

I'd like to follow how things develop with your class....are you on a quarter system if you're just firing things up now?

Hope the stuff I shared is useful, somehow. Now, with museumfreak giving you the warning about my rookie-dom, how did I do? :-)
